After spending five years as a news anchor and reporter, in 2002, Jamie fulfilled a life long dream and returned to her alma mater, the University of Mississippi, to attend law school. Jamie graduated from law school magna cum laude and was a member of the law school's national moot court team and was the winner of the statewide law school moot court championship.

Jamie devotes a large amount of practice to municipal law, school law and general litigation. She also assists clients with estate planning, wills and family law matters as well as workers compensation issues and employment law matters. Jamie has also successfully prosecuted and defended election contests.

Jamie has been an active board member of the Cleveland Junior Auxiliary, the United Way, the Bolivar County Literacy Council and the Delta Arts Alliance. She and her husband Will are also active mentors through the local school district's mentoring program.

Jamie is a past officer of the Bolivar County Bar Association and is admitted to the Mississippi and Louisiana Bar Associations. She is also admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in both Mississippi and Louisiana and the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals. From 2010-2013, Jamie has been named as a "Rising Star" by Mid South Super Lawyer Magazine.
