Chris joined the firm in December 2016 after serving as staff attorney for Chancellor Jon M. Barnwell in the Seventh Chancery Court District for the State of Mississippi. Chris was admitted to the Bar in 2012 and is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in the State of Mississippi and the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. Chris graduated from the University of Mississippi in with degrees in Journalism and Political Science in 2007, and received his Master’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Mississippi in 2009.  He then attended Barry University School of Law in Orlando, Florida and graduated in 2012. While in law school, Chris was a member of the Barry Law Review serving as the Symposium Editor, a Senior Editor and a member of the Law Review’s editorial board. He was also a Research Assistant for Professor Marvin Rooks. During law school, Chris received the Outstanding Student Award in Admiralty Law and in Remedies.

Chris is a native of the Mississippi Delta and is proud to live in downtown Cleveland with his wife, Julianne, and daughter, Faulkner.  They will be welcoming a son in September 2017. They are active members at St. Luke United Methodist Church in Cleveland.
